It is such a lovely feeling to begin the summer term, with so many exciting things to look forward to in the weeks ahead. As the days grow brighter and warmer, school life feels lighter and fuller of energy, with more opportunities to enjoy learning both inside and outside the classroom. From eagerly anticipated school trips and special events to outdoor activities and playtimes in the sunshine, there is a real sense of enjoyment and anticipation in the air. The summer term is a wonderful time to celebrate progress, make happy memories together, and embrace all the opportunities that the season brings.

As we come to the end of what has been a very busy term, I want to take a moment to celebrate the many enriching experiences our children have enjoyed. Alongside their regular curriculum, the pupils have benefited from a wonderful range of visitors, workshops, and special activities—each one offering something unique to spark curiosity and broaden their horizons.

It’s hard to believe we are already over halfway through the school year. As we look ahead, we’re all hoping for a turn toward brighter, warmer weather, but even the grey skies haven’t dampened the energy inside our school. This week has been especially fun with Malawi week and the launch of World Book Day.

As we begin the Spring Term, it’s always a joy to see how much the children grow—both in confidence and in their learning. This term is often where everything “clicks,” and the progress they make, academically and personally, is remarkable.
